CrewConnect Workforce Solutions Inc. ("CrewConnect", "we", "us", "our" and similar terms) takes your privacy rights very seriously. We are committed to transparently describing our privacy practices, including how we collect, use, and disclose:
- your personal or personally identifiable information ("Information"); and
- data obtained from your activity on the Services ("Data").
This applies to the CrewConnect website at https://crewconnect.co/ (the "Site"), any online or downloadable software-as-a-service solutions available through the Site or app stores ("Platform"), and all related services (collectively, the "Services").
You should read and understand our Terms and Conditions ("Terms") and this Privacy Policy before using the Services. By accepting the Terms and/or this Privacy Policy or by using the Services, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of Information and Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the Terms.
All capitalized terms not defined here obtain their meaning from the Terms.
What Information and Data Do We Collect?
General
Our primary purpose in collecting Information is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We only collect Information we consider necessary for this purpose.
CrewConnect may collect:
- your name and email address for User Account creation and access
- information about your employer and workplace environment
- details about physical, psychological, social, and cultural factors related to your work
- workplace experience information to help assess job satisfaction and well-being
This information is used in aggregated form to provide insights to your organization. You are not required to provide workplace-related information you do not wish to disclose.
You may browse public-facing sections of the Services without revealing Information. When applying for or registering a User Account, you must provide requested Information. Some fields may be marked as optional.
Users may provide ratings, feedback, or comments about workplace well-being. CrewConnect does not ask for personal information within submissions. If you voluntarily provide Information about yourself or others, you represent that you have the authority or consents required to provide it. In rare cases, feedback might indirectly reveal Information. If Information is shared without consent, email hello@crewconnect.co so we can anonymize it.
You always have the option to not provide Information by choosing not to use the Services.
User Feedback
We may collect ratings, reviews, feedback, and other information from other Users, in accordance with the Terms.
Data Collected Automatically
When you use the Services, CrewConnect automatically receives Data such as:
- location
- IP address
- browser type
- operating and device data
- mobile carrier (if applicable)
- device/application IDs
- cookie information
- pages requested
Unless stated otherwise, we use this Data only in aggregate form.
"Cookies" and similar technologies help provide and personalize the Services, analyze use, target ads, and prevent fraud. Disabling cookies may impair functionality.
How Do We Use Information and Data?
We may use Information and Data to:
- determine eligibility for a User Account
- provide and improve the Services
- aggregate and display anonymous feedback to employers or organizations
- communicate with you directly or through partners, including marketing
- advise you of pricing or Service updates
- facilitate payments and transactions
- resolve disputes or troubleshoot problems
- send offers, events, updates, or relevant information
- analyze usage and improve offerings
- customize your experience
- detect and prevent fraud or criminal activity
- enforce the Terms
- deliver system or administrative messages
- fulfill purposes described at the time of collection
These uses help us improve and tailor the Services.
Our Disclosure of Information and Data
General Disclosure
We may share Information and Data only as described in this Privacy Policy, the Terms, or with your consent. We do not sell or rent Information or Data without explicit consent.
Anonymized Aggregated Data
We may aggregate and anonymize Data and share it with employers, organizations, or for analytics. No identifiable Information is disclosed in such cases.
Laws and Jurisdictions
We may preserve or disclose Information and Data to comply with legal requirements, protect safety, address fraud/security issues, or defend rights or property.
Nothing here limits your legal defenses to any disclosure request.
Sale of Business
We may disclose Information and Data during a business acquisition, subject to customary confidentiality requirements.
Storing and Processing Outside Canada
Information and Data may be stored or processed outside Canada. We apply safeguards but such data may be subject to foreign laws.
Subsidiaries, Affiliates, and Service Providers
We may use Third Parties for services such as payment processing, hosting, communications, or research. We disclose Information and Data to these parties as needed and use providers capable of handling confidential data responsibly.
Correcting and Updating Information and Data
You may review, limit, delete, or update your Information by emailing hello@crewconnect.co.
Information and Data Retention
General Retention Policy
We retain Information and Data as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, in accordance with applicable laws. We may periodically de-identify unused account information.
Unused User Accounts and associated Information/Data may be deleted within time frames required by law.
Termination of Account
If your account is terminated, we may deactivate it but may retain Information and Data for a period consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Minor Privacy
The Services are not intended for individuals under sixteen (16). We do not knowingly collect personal information from such individuals.
If we learn we collected information from someone under sixteen without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it.
Where permitted by law, a Parent (as defined in the Terms) may consent to their child's use of the Services. In such cases, CrewConnect treats the Parent as the data subject for consent, access, correction, and deletion requests.
Parents are encouraged to monitor their child's activity and contact hello@crewconnect.co if they believe personal information was collected improperly.
Security
User Accounts are password protected. You must protect your password and device.
We use technical and organizational measures to safeguard Information and Data, but no system is guaranteed secure. Unauthorized access, hardware failures, or other issues may compromise security.
Other Information and Data Collectors
This Privacy Policy applies only to CrewConnect's collection and disclosure of Information and Data. Third parties may have different practices, and you are subject to their policies. You should ask questions before providing Information or Data to others.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
CrewConnect may amend this Privacy Policy at any time. The use of Information and Data is governed by the Privacy Policy in effect when such Information/Data is used.
If material changes occur, we may notify you by:
- posting a notice on your User Account page or the Services;
- emailing the address associated with your account; or
- following the notice procedures in the Terms.
You are bound by changes when you use the Services after they are posted.
